TVS Motor Company is celebrating a new milestone for the Scooty scooter. Over the last 25 years, TVS Motor Company has managed to sell over 4.5 million units of the Scooty making it the leading budget two wheeler scooter across the nation.
With the latest two new launches, TVS Scooty Pep+ now gets a total of seven colour options. The other five are grouped under three categories. The Starlet series is available in Frosted Black and Vivacious Purple, the EcoSmart series in Nero Blue and Nero Brown and the Babelicious series in Princess Pink.
TVS Scooty range is introduced in two new models TVS Scooty Pep+ and TVS Zest 110.
TVS Scooty Pep+ is available with a four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 87.8 cc, Ecothrust engine that develops 4.9 PS and 5.8 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a CVT with torque convertor. The braking duties in TVS Scooty Pep+ are performed by 110 mm drum brakes both at front and rear. There is a telescopic suspension up front.
Also, TVS Scooty Pep+ is equipped with smart features like mobile charger socket, side stand alarm, under-seat storage hooks, DRLs and open glove box. It also gets the company’s patented ‘Eazy’ stand technology, which reduces the effort to put the vehicle on the center stand by 30 per cent.
TVS Zest 110 is powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled, 109.7 cc, CVTI engine. The engine churns out nearly 8 PS and 8.4 Nm of torque. There are drum brakes both at the front and rear. TVS Zest 110 gets a telescopic suspension up front and a double rated hydraulic mono shock at the rear. It can make 0 to 60 kmph in 11.1 seconds.
TVS Scooty now comes equipped with synchronized braking technology (SBT) across the range. The new edition of TVS Scooty Pep+ sports a special 25 year-anniversary edition logo along with new graphics. It is priced at ₹44,367.
