French car major Renault launched its seven-seater compact multipurpose vehicle ‘Tribar’ on Wednesday. It has been priced between Rs 4.95 lakh and Rs 6.49 lakh. This is the company’s second model after the Kwid, which has been developed and designed for the Indian market. The one-liter petrol engine has been given in the Tribar.

Renault Triber launched: The car gets a host of features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, Auto climate control, among others.

Apart from this it is also equipped with various other features including four airbags. This new vehicle of the company will fill the empty space between the SUV like Kwid and Duster and Captor. Venkataram Mamilapalle, Country CEO and Managing Director of Reno India Operations, told reporters, “We are looking forward to Tribar being an important part of our expansion plans in India as we look to expand the Reno brand in the Indian automobile market.”

Renault’s upcoming MPV car ‘Tribar’ will be launched today on August 28. Its booking has already started from 17 August. It has been booked by customers both online and offline with Rs 11,000. Reno’s sub-4 m MPV is expected to be priced between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 7 lakh.



According to the industry experts many such features have been given in the Reno Tribe which has been introduced for the first time in the segment. These include features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity), center cooled box (refrigerators), removable third row seats, and AC vents for all three rows. Apart from this, the specialty of the Tribar is its modular seating layout, due to which the Tribar can be changed from 2 seating to 7-seater car. Removing the third row seats of the Traiber gives boot space of up to 625 liters.

Renault Triber Key Specifications

The Reno Tribar will get a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine. This engine is capable of generating 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of torque. Like other cars in the segment, the Tribor will also come in both 5-speed manual and automatic (AMT) gearbox options. With these gearbox options it will give mileage of 20 km / l and 20.5 km / l respectively. We have compared the specification of the Reno Tribar to the mid-size hatchback cars. There is no car directly available against the Reno Tribar. It will fill the space between Datsun Go Plus and Maruti Ertiga.
